EMDR Basic Training: Spring of 2026 (Virtual Format)

This introductory course prepares participants to become EMDR Trained by providing 25 hours of didactic instruction, 21 hours of practicum, and 12 hours of consultation, all within a four-weekend format. Participants will learn to apply evidence-based EMDR techniques and develop case conceptualizations using attachment theory, the theory of structural dissociation of the personality, and the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model. Participants will be trained to perform all eight phases of EMDR therapy Standard Protocol, with a focus on PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other DSM-V-TR diagnoses.

When registered for this training, participants must remain with this cohort for all training dates noted below due to staffing ratios and cohort cohesion.

Dates over Zoom: Feb. 21-22, Mar. 28-29, Apr. 25-26, and May 30-31 of 2026

Treatment Planning & Target Sequencing Update Based on the Latest Memory Research

This intermediate (virtual format) course incorporates the latest memory research to inform EMDR treatment planning and target sequencing, so that problematic client symptom presentations may most effectively show reduction and elimination. Frequently client symptoms are entangled with underlying core maladaptive belief systems that pervade their neuronal networks. Participants will learn how to identify these core maladaptive belief systems in Phase One and begin working effectively with clients using specialized EMDR interventions starting in Phase Two and throughout the reprocessing phases to eliminate and replace these beliefs with more appropriate, preferred beliefs thus making symptom reduction and elimination more effective.

This course will be approved for (6) EMDRIA advanced CE credits and (6) American Psychological Association (APA) CE credits.

Participants must have already completed an EMDRIA approved EMDR basic training to register for this course.
